The first stop we first came to the riverside area of the Wushan area. Binjiang Park is an important part of the Wolf Mountain Scenic Area, bordered by the port to the north and the Yangtze River to the west. It is a large-scale comprehensive open park integrating landscape, leisure and participation. As soon as I got off the car, I felt that the river breeze was blowing and my vision was wide. Looking at it from afar, I only felt that the sky was the same color, and the golden sunlight sprinkled on the surface of the river, shattered into countless brilliant points of light, like countless golden elves dancing. The rolling water of the Yangtze River rushes endlessly, tirelessly lapping on the reef on the shore, shattering into countless crystalline waves. Walking along the river, the flowers in the garden are fragrant, and there are tourists taking photos and children playing, a peaceful scene. I can't help but think of when I was a child, I came here to play, and there was some household garbage everywhere on the river, and the shore was overgrown with weeds, and in some places it even smelled foul. Compared to now, it is really a sea change. What used to be a dirty place has become a green belt in the park, which is the result of the government's vigorous efforts to clean up and focus on environmental protection in recent years. The chairman said: Green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains. Ecological and environmental issues have always been major political issues related to the mission and purpose of the Party, as well as major social issues related to people's livelihood. The construction of ecological civilization is beneficial in the present era. Improving the ecological environment is developing productive forces, and ecological and environmental problems are, in the final analysis, a problem of economic development mode. The improvement of the ecological environment of the riverside is a satisfactory answer delivered by the Nantong Municipal Government to the Party Central Committee, and it is also a true portrayal of the implementation of President Xi's concept of "green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains".
Leaving Binjiang Park, we came to Nantong Museum. The display of Nantong Museum does not take the historical order as the main line, nor does it emphasize the characters and events, but reflects the production and living conditions of the predecessors under the changes of the times and geography through the rearrangement and combination of various cultural relics. The museum is divided into small topics such as etiquette, religion, literature and art, and market life, and the exhibits seem ordinary, but in fact they are carefully selected, and each piece has a strong local color. Such as the blue and white porcelain milk bowl used by Chen Shi, a famous doctor in Nantong in the Ming Dynasty, and the Wen Yan of Li Fangying, a famous painter in the Qing Dynasty. The exquisite 36-line map of Tongzhou is a vivid portrayal of the life of the city in the late Qing Dynasty. Three-inch golden lotus, wedding banquet invitations, red satin clothes, etc. reflect the original wedding customs of Nantong. Walking out of the exhibition hall, you can also see an old-fashioned Japanese textile machine. It can be said that a Nantong Museum is half of Nantong history. The founder of Nantong Museum is Mr. Zhang Jian, and when it comes to Zhang Jian, every Nantong person can tell some deeds. In the process of visiting his former residence, we also have a deeper understanding of his concept of "saving the country through industry".
Mr. Zhang Jian is an outstanding entrepreneur, politician and educator in China from feudal society to modern times, who founded more than 50 enterprises and more than 400 schools in his lifetime, and made outstanding contributions to the rise of China's modern national industry and the development of education. He saved the country with both industry and education, implemented industrial revitalization and served the country through industry, and left the world with tremendous material wealth and rich spiritual wealth. When Zhang Jian died, he left Nantong a national capital group with more than 50 enterprises and more than 2400 million taels of silver; An educational and cultural system composed of more than 400 schools and venues of various types; A complete set of municipal infrastructure such as water conservancy, transportation, and power supply, as well as a series of public welfare and philanthropy. As a result, Nantong has changed from a small closed and backward feudal county town to a modern emerging city that has attracted the attention of the world. Zhang Jian's name is associated with the development of China's national industry. In February 1956, when receiving Huang Yanpei, Mao Zedong said that when it comes to national industry, there are four people in China's modern history who cannot forget: heavy industry cannot forget Zhang Zhidong, light industry cannot forget Zhang Jian, chemical industry cannot forget Fan Xudong, and transportation industry cannot forget Lu Zuofu. This is the best evaluation of Zhang Jian's contribution.
Today's world is facing major changes unseen in a century. The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated this big change.
